​相遇不在他方 Here Is Where We Meet

2018年夏季，我們在愛丁堡相遇。

2023年夏季，帶著不同的生活感悟，我們相約於桃園青埔。

五年間，時間的洪流改變了世事與我們。分居各地面對迥異的現實，有了各自不同的際遇，是對創作不變的渴求讓四散的我們路途再次交會。橫越時間與空間，此展融匯了五人過去與現在的觀察與省思，以及對「相遇」的五種詮釋。

陳依婕體認到社群網路讓每個人在無止境的滑移中，與過客相遇；謝沛芬移居陽光流淌的國境之南，在北回歸線的另一端遇見了「家」的新定義；李晨豪保有對繪畫的好奇與感激，而在不同身分轉換間與未知相遇；劉名真在城市的喧囂裡細品時光，藉由工藝的反覆操作遇見無別念的美感；游千葦於晦暗渾沌的時代，在心靈尋求與片刻的坦然相遇。

屆時，在宇宙與光陰組成的無垠象限裡，某個暑氣蒸騰蟬鳴唧唧的瞬間，若你能與我們在此相遇，容我們輕輕地問一聲：「噢， 你也在這裡嗎？」

In the summer of 2018, we met in Edinburgh.

In the summer of 2023, with different perceptions of life, we will meet in Qingpu, Taoyuan.

Over five years, the torrent of time has changed both the world and us. Living in different places and facing our different realities, we have had varied encounters. It is the unchanged desire for creating that makes our scattered paths cross again. Across time and space, the exhibition integrates the observation and reflection on the past and the present, and individual interpretations of “meeting” of the five people.

YiJie Chen conceives that social media allows each to meet strangers through continuous swiping and clicking. Having moved to the south of the country flooded by sunshine, Pei-Fen Hsieh met the new definition of “home” on the other side of the Tropic of Cancer. Boris Lee remains curious and grateful towards “drawing”, hence meeting the unknown between his various identities. Jen Liu savours the passing of time despite the hustle and bustle of the city, meeting the undisturbed beauty of repetition in crafting. In the age of turbulence and uncertainty, Chien-wei Yu seeks to meet a moment of inner peace.

Then, within the infinite quadrant composed of time and space, when the cicadas are chirping in the rampant summer heat, if here is where you and we meet, let us gently ask: “Oh, are you here too?”
